The following email was sent to Pittsburgh City Council members, and the Oakland Planning and Development Corporation. Also, see the link below of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review article.

Why didn't Oakland residents have a voice in whether or not they wanted robots on their sidewalks?
This is one more example of the domination and lack of respect the University of Pittsburgh has for the Oakland Planning and Development Corporation, Council President Bruce Kraus, as well as other members of city council.

Note: In an email on December 19, 2019, Wanda Wilson, Executive Director of Oakland Planning and Development Corporation, responded to this specific issue:
OPDC hosted a community meeting about robotic delivery devices but is not in charge of approving them. It is Department of Mobility and Infrastructure who approves their use in the right of way. If you complete the survey here, we can share that input with DOMI.
(The meeting referenced above was on October 28 and the minutes are on the OPDC website. Other responses by Ms. Wilson in the email are on Links 96, 97 and 98.)
